DEFINITION
Excel spreadsheets are universally used by analysts, planners, and managers throughout industry and government. Many people are “power users” in the sense that they are very familiar with screen operations and with calculations using formulas and functions. In the past, it was relatively easy for power users to record macros for repetitive tasks. That is no longer the case. Professional programming assistance is now essential to automate Excel tasks, but the payback can be enormous.
